50th Anniversary of the Founding of PBUUC

The following four services were in celebration of the 50th anniversary of PBUUC's first service on October 17, 1954. Orders of Service and scripts for the entire service are included, in addition to the sermon itself.

Barbara Wells ten Hove 20th Anniversary of Ordination

Our co-minister Barbara Wells ten Hove was ordained as a Unitarian Universalist minister on October 27, 1985. PBUUC celebrated her journey through the two services below and a visit to PBUUC from two of her mentors at Meadville-Lombard Theological School, the UU seminary located at the University of Chicago.

Founders' Day Sermons

Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church was founded on October 17, 1954, in College Park. We celebrate this founding in a worship service each October. The 50th Anniversary in 2004 was exceptional in that we had a month of celebrations; other Founders' Day sermons are listed below.
