PBUUC Volunteer Information Center

This page is intended to become a one-stop shopping area for volunteers to find out what to do and when. We are currently prototyping; there are older volunteer pages and instruction files available, but the maintenance on these has been spotty.

Volunteers play a large role in both the visible ministry of the church and the nuts and bolts of maintaining a building, managing a staff, and paying the bills. This index accordingly divides into two parts along these lines.

Note: some of these areas are password protected, as they discuss sensitive information.

There are many opportunities to get involved, ranging from single events such as helping with the Church Auction to larger committments such as the Religious Exploration Committee, or even the Board of Trustees. Contact information for these committees and groups can be found on the inside back page of the Branches newsletter.

• Board of Trustees -- password protected area for the time being. May not really be necessary, but we'll be cautious for now.
• Committee on Ministry is responsible for the relationship between the co-ministers and the congregation.
• Financial responsibilities are handled by several different committees. The permanent committees include Finance, Ways & Means, Canvass, Rental Management, and Endowment. In addition, there is a canvass team formed to conduct the annual fundraising campaign (canvass or stewardship campaign) and a budget leadership team formed to prepare the next fiscal year's operating budget.
• Personnel committee is responsible for all staff with the exception of the co-ministers, who work with the Committee on Ministry.
• Office Volunteers -- volunteer opportunities to help our Church Administrator run things smoothly
