Welcome to Adult Religious Exploration at Paint Branch! The classes and events listed below, in addition to our weekly offerings during Sunday morning Enrichment Hour and several affinity groups, are designed to give adults of all ages an opportunity to explore their faith in a supportive environment. Classes will be led by our co-ministers, other staff members, or lay leaders.

The Adult Religious Exploration Team was formed in Spring 2005 to reinvigorate and focus the adult religious exploration opportunities at PBUUC. The ARE Team plans to put out a brochure twice a year, listing a broad range of classes led by our co-ministers as well as members of the congregation. Anyone wishing to lead a class is urged to contact the Team with their suggestion. We welcome all ideas.
The ARE Team will schedule the classes, publicize them via the Adult Religious Exploration Classes & Information brochure, this page of the Web site (see below) Sunday bulletin, and PBUUC email list, help with sign-up (whether mandatory or optional), and help with set-up and other arrangements when the class is held.
To sign up for an Adult RE class, contact Julie Dahmer at ARE@pbuuc.org or 301-890-7807, or sign up in the church foyer on the posted sign-up list. Advance registration is encouraged but not mandatory. Please sign up by the Sunday before the class begins, at the latest. Classes may be canceled for lack of sign-up. If you have not been able to sign up in advance of a class, contact Julie Dahmer or the class leader to make sure the class is still being held. Fees are due at the first class.

The Adult RE Team is also looking for people who can help out by being available to open up the Meeting House or RE Building for a class and help the leader set up. If you are willing and able to do some opening up/setting up for a class you will be taking, or for any other class, please let us know.
