Festive Friday, Friday, May 2, 6:30 pm
Let's get together, order pizza, sell beer, wine, and soda, bring and share dessert and salad, let the kids play and get to know each other, and the adults get to do the same. Bring your favorite game or puzzle. The Auction Twins are willing to arrange everything . . . set it up and they will come? Please join us Friday for the fun. Contact Robyn McCoy or the church office for more information.
Can our thoughts, words, and feelings REALLY affect the shapes of water crystals? If so, what implications might this have on our bodies and our environment?
On Sunday, April 20th during Enrichment Hour, Shannon Grady will lead a discussion on the topic, "Investigating the Body, Mind, and Spirit Connection.- How Our Thoughts, Words, and Feelings Affect Water Crystals," based on findings from the book, The Hidden Messages in Water, by Dr. Masuru Emoto.
PBUUC Music Director David Chapman will perform a "Recital in F," with commentary by Paint Branch member and musicologist, Bonnie Hurley, on Sunday afternoon, May 4th. The program will be comprised of classical pieces all written in the key of F-major or F-minor. A "flurry of finger foods" (reception) will follow. All are welcome!
Donations from this concert will go toward recent critical repairs to our grand piano and also benefit the Music at Paint Branch program.
We will be working all day on our spring cleaning. Let people know when you are available and if you can bring any of the needed tools on our message board or by e-mailing Mark Shute (see address on message board).
The Mulan Foundation will present a concert by outstanding Chinese vocalists with special guest Alessandra Marc, world-renowned dramatic soprano. PBUUC Music Director David Chapman will accompany. A reception will follow. Please join us on the Saturday evening of Memorial Day Weekend for what we're sure will be an extraordinary concert. Donations will benefit the artist and the Music at Paint Branch program.
