Legacy Fund Proposals

The Legacy Fund Endowment committee is currently accepting proposals. We will be awarding $500 dollars for a good Paint Branch reason that doesn't have to do with day to day operations. These reasons could range from a good social justice cause to a shiny new implement in the church kitchen. The key is the one-shot nature of the grant, as opposed to using grant money to supplement ongoing church programs that have already been budgeted.

The deadline is April 13, 2009. Click on the appropriate link for guidelines, for the application form in pdf, and for a Word version of the form.

The Vision Thing

The Dedicted to Inspiring Vitality (DIV) Team has synthesized the results of the October 5 visioning workshop into a draft vsion and mission statement. There will be opportunities to discuss this during enrichment hours (11:45-1 on Sunday). Check your newsletter and Sunday bulletins for dates and locations.

New! Web Site for UUA Presidential election

Step aside, Barack Obama and John McCain. The US Presidential election isn't the only game in town! There is also an election being held at the 2009 General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association. The contenders are:

Rev. Dr. Laurel Hallman

Rev. Peter Morales

and there is a site to help you decide who you favor.

PBUUC Message Board now up!

The new PBUUC message board can be found at http://www.pbuuc.org/forum. It is used by the office to announce weather cancellations and church sponsored events; it also provides forums for all registered users to post their own church-related announcements and general notices. At this point the unofficial blog & message board is still running in full gear, but these forums will serve as a church-sponsored town square.

This board is readable by the public; to be able to post one has to register. At this point you will be able to post and read a couple of forums that are visible to registered users only.
