Breaking news: in the event of weather cancellations or other news that requires immediate notification, an announcement will be placed in the Breaking News forum of the official message board. This forum is readable without having to register, and is linked directly from the main page of pbuuc.org.
News and Schedules: Includes schedules of services, of upcoming events, of Sunday Enrichment Hour programs, and special announcements. The online publications include our newsletter Branches (in a password protected area, contact the Church Administrator to subscribe) and brochures for religious education, including adults, children and youth.
Online Communities: A description of PBUUC's official message board, mailing lists, and the unofficial ("Totally Unofficial, Sometimes Informative, Always Opinionated") blog.

We are still evolving official policies for these pages, but unofficially what happens is that the upcoming services and events are generally taken from orders of service and newsletter information submitted by the ministers, as well as from things like the Adult RE brochures. The good news on web-based announcements is that while we try to have short announcements appear on the pages mentioned above, we allow, nay encourage, links to more detailed information. The short text should follow the Order of Service guidance of 100 words or less. the further information can be either HTML web page(s), or PDF files that are printable version of flyers handed out in church.
