Some starting information to help you find your way around Paint Branch both at church and online.
Nursery care, children's classes, or Youth Group?
Our Nursery is Room 5 in the Religious Exploration (RE) Building next door, off the deck. Children's classes are held RE building class rooms. For information on the children's or youth (high school) RE program pick up the RE brochure in the Lobby.
They are both in the south side corridor, through the Lobby or the front, stage left door of the Sanctuary. They can also be found in the Religious exploration building.
One or two wheelchairs usually live in the south side corridor (near restrooms or water fountain, above) and can be returned there after use.
Ushers can give you a LARGE PRINT edition of the Sunday Bulletin and assist you in getting a sound enhancing device from the Service/Building Manager, who is usually in the Sound Room (through the kitchen or the front stage right door off the Sanctuary).

Leave info for the church office or leaders?
Continue on the deck toward the RE Building, which houses staff offices, into the first, leftmost door. Various mail shelves are to your immediate left upon entering the first room, the main office. In addition to these mail slots, there is a rack of hanging folders with folders for even more of the church leaders. Leave information in them, although it is best also to contact people directly as volunteers are not necessarily at church every day.
Bulletin announcements are for Paint Branch activities only and must be less than 100 words. Please e-mail your 100-word announcement to the church office by 9:30 am Wednesday. Otherwise, leave a clearly written copy in the office by 9:30 am Wednesday.
Verbal announcements should specifically highlight a church event within the upcoming two weeks. On the form in the foyer, print clearly, use 25 words maximum, refer to written announcements by number, and provide contact information. Give this form to that morning's Worship Associate by 9:55am! (Verbal announcements will not be accepted after the prelude begins.)
Deadline is the 3rd Sunday of each month. Send electronic submissions to church e-mail, leave written items for the church administrator in the office.
First make sure the space you seek is available. (Contact the office or look at the online calendar.) Fill out a Room Reservation form (usually available in the Lobby or Office) and leave for the office, or call them directly.
In addition to perusing this web site, newcomers, friends and members are invited to stop by the Welcome Table (in the Lobby) to talk with a trustee, members of the New Member Ministry Team and others to find out about our congregational life. You can also pick up nearby brochures about the church and the denomination. Please sign our newcomer's roster and. watch the Sunday Bulletin, newsletter and website for further specific opportunities, such as the twice-annual Path to Membership class.
Contact our Music and Choir Director, David Chapman. Choir rehearsals are Thursday evenings.
Giant Food, Shoppers Food Warehouse, and Co-Op SCRIP (gift cards) are available for purchase in the lobby of the Meeting House after the service every Sunday. Contact John Bartoli for more info
How do I join the Paint Branch electronic list-serv?
You may join the list-serv at any time by sending a message requesting to be added to Ken Montville, list-serv moderator.
You can find a calendar of upcoming events, upcoming services and most of the sermons preached at PBUUC on our informative church web page (www.pbuuc.org), organized into topic areas, as well as into chronological order.
Important information such as weather cancellations can be found on our announcements page. This page also provides some online news and promotes major events such as the auction or the winter holiday season. [NOTE: REPLACE W/ LINK TO FORUM PAGE]
It is probably the use of an older browser. If you are still running Panther (OS 10.3) you are probably seeing really small print -- small as in utterly unreadable. Your choices are to download and install Firefox, or to upgrade Panther, pulling the new version of Safari along with it. This webmaster recommends not bothering with Internet Explorer, as both Safari and Firefox are superior. Besides, this webmaster isn't even sure it is still being supported on the Mac.
