Handcraft Circle
The Handcraft Circle meets monthly during the Enrichment Hour from September through May. Participants bring their latest handwork projects to share with each other and work together on various projects. They have supplies and expertise to help beginners learn knitting, crocheting, and some needlework.
Each year the Handcraft Circle participates in the Annual Congregational Auction by supplying items and helping hands for the Auction Boutique. The group continues the annual Hats and Mittens Sale on Sundays before Christmas, a tradition started many years ago by the late Ottilie Van Allen. Through the "Mitten Tree" at a holiday service, the group gives away scarves, caps and mittens to the needy of Prince George's County.
The handcrafters and other interested people donated the materials to create the annual sale items. The group always welcomes new members as well as donations of yarn and trimmings.
