PBUUC Mission Statement
Grounded by our deep Unitarian Universalist roots, Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church is a vibrant, liberal religious community. Our values call us to live in harmony with the Earth and respond to the social justice needs of the wider community.
Becoming Part of the
Paint Branch community:
From walking in the door as newcomer
and learning your way around Paint Branch and Unitarian Universalism, to
becoming involved in the Paint Branch Community, to making the commitment
of membership, information on the path we follow can be found here.
About Paint Branch:
As you spend time at Paint Branch, you will get to know our congregation, our co-ministers
and staff, and our congregational
leaders. Our congregation is committed to diversity,
welcoming people of diverse racial
or ethnic groups, diverse sexual orientations
and gender identies, and diverse theological
outlooks. Our history since 1954 reflects
this commitment to the worth and dignity of all souls; our Statement
of Purpose reflects the type of community that we are continually creating.
The UUniverse:
Beyond the PBUUC community, you will find a large UUniverse out there;
Unitarian Universalists can be found the world over. The UUniverse page
provides a map of the UUniverse
and where Paint Branch fits into it, along with more general information
on Unitarian Universalism and the
Principles written by the member
churches of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
Support from our caring
community:
In addition to supporting each other's spiritual growth and enjoying
our community's activities, we provide support for people in times of need.
This starts with support such as rides, meals and hospital visits as carried
out by our We Care Network. And if you need a sympathetic ear, our
co-ministers or our Pastoral
Care Associates are there to help. |
