Choir

The PBUUC Choir, with approximately 35 members, fills our services with a wide variety of classical, contemporary, and cultural music from around the world. Under the direction of Music Director David Chapman, the Choir rehearses for two hours every Thursday evening throughout the church year and sings at about two services per month. In addition, the group performs a holiday music service in early December, sings at the Christmas Eve late service, and performs the spring concert in June.

Members of the Choir often participate in other activities of the church. For example, the Choir usually offers an anthem as an item in the Annual Congregational Auction. The winner gets to choose a choral work that the Choir will perform at a future Sunday service.

David regularly calls on Choir members to sing solo and duet sections of choral pieces. In addition, the Choir and congregation have enjoyed instrumental performances of many talented PBUUC musicians.

Anyone who likes to sing is invited to speak to David about joining the Choir. Tenors and basses are especially welcome.
