Budget Leadership Team
The Budget Leadership Team, fondly known as "the BLT," has the job of developing the congregational budget for the following fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
BLT members, who are appointed by the Board of Trustees (including the church treasurer, who serves ex officio), work with committee chairs, affinity group leaders, staff, and officers to develop a budget to present to the congregation for review and to the Board of Trustees for final approval.
Typically, the BLT will hold one or more open sessions at which all members and friends are invited to ask questions about the budget. Balancing needs, priorities and wishes is never an easy task, but BLT members strive to undertake their service with grace and a guiding set of principles based on sustaining and growing church programs.
