Religious Education to begin at High Point High School on Jan. 4: On Dec. 17 the Board of Trustees agreed to fund Sunday rental space for our Religious Education program at High Point High School (one mile north on Powder Mill Road), at an estimated $120 for two-hours each week. This will begin on Jan. 4 with a Children's Chapel, which parents and other adults are welcome to attend (and then tour the rented rooms). Meanwhile, temporary Nursery space has been established in the Meeting House at the end of the rest room corridor.
Contents Departing: As of Dec. 23, almost all of the RE Building "contents" that belong to us and are salvagable have been removed for professional cleaning off-site. (Most of the Montessori belongings still remain, but will be removed soon.) The storage "pods" that dot the perimeter of the parking lot will also be gone soon.
Estimates Underway: Our contractor, Belfor USA, is actively detailing estimates of what the re-build will cost AND what code upgrades will be required. They are awaiting the report from a code engineer and predict they will have preliminary figures to us in early January.
